Cynthia Alonso is an illustrator & graphic designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She studied Graphic Design at Buenos Aires University where she taught Typography courses for several years.

She is a self-taught illustrator trying to find her teachers all over the world and actively being trained in workshops and seminars related to drawing, color and visual storytelling. (SVA Illustration & Visual Storytelling Summer Residency, NYC).

She published her first silent picture book AQUÁRIO in 2017 by Orfeu Negro from Portugal and in 2018 by Chronicle Books in USA.

Her work has been selected and exhibited in the Society of Illustrators 58 Annual Exhibition (NYC) and in Bologna International Children's Book Fair. (ITALY)

She has recently published her second book as an illustrator  “Under the canopy” by Flying Eye Books.

She gets really into stories with a lot of passion and her work is full of life, textures and vibrant colors.

She is currently living in Berlin and working worldwide on several areas as children books, lettering, animation, surface design & editorial illustration.
